This fully custom outdoor living space in Merrimack, NH was designed to be both a relaxing retreat and the ultimate spot for entertaining. The homeowners wanted a backyard where they could unwind in peace but also host family and friends with ease. Living in New England means the outdoor season is limited, so every detail of this design-build project was chosen to maximize both comfort and function.
The project features a multi-level Techo Bloc paver patio, creating distinct areas for dining, lounging, and gathering. At the center of the space, a custom fire pit provides the perfect setting for cool New Hampshire evenings. The outdoor kitchen, outfitted with Blaze appliances, makes it easy to cook and entertain outside, while the existing pavilion adds shade and shelter, extending the use of the space through the seasons.
For summertime recreation, the in-ground gunite pool serves as the highlight of the backyard, offering both a refreshing escape and a stunning focal point. Around the pool and patio, carefully designed plantings and flower beds bring seasonal color and natural beauty. At night, In-Lite Global low-voltage lighting transforms the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for outdoor gatherings.
This project is a true example of a custom outdoor living design in southern New Hampshire, combining luxury, functionality, and style. From the fire pit and outdoor kitchen to the pool and patios, every element works together to create a backyard that is perfect for both everyday relaxation and special celebrations.
