MERRIMACK, NH
Description:
What problem did the client want to solve with the project?
Existing deck was unsafe and unusable. They had a new pool installed and needed to finish the area around it (hardscape).
How did you solve the problem?
- Replaced the existing failing deck with a new mineral based composite structure with wrap around bench seating and custom built flower boxes
- Incorporated a paver walkway and patio around around the pool
Project Details:
This Backyard Masterpiece was a full backyard transformation – to include a new deck, pool and hardscaped patio. We replaced an existing [and failing] deck structure with a more elaborate design that features custom bench seating and flower boxes. The new pool and patio area extends from the deck, to down and around the pool, creating a nice flow between spaces.
One notable feature that we incorporated into the deck design was a triple herringbone corner border, which was also mirrored on the bench seating. Another key design element was the way that we built the reveal from the deck skirting right in line with the stairs, creating a completely seamless look. The final ‘wow factor’ in this backyard oasis was the water feature in the pool.
- Scope: Composite deck with wrap around bench seating, custom built flower boxes and hardscape patio/walkway leading to the pool.
Materials Used:
- Deckorators Voyage decking
- Camo hidden deck fasteners
- In-Lite Global low voltage lighting
- G-Tape flashing tape
- Techo-Bloc pavers
